Chrysanthemum

 Hi there,

It's been a while.

I know I said I intended to blog a lot more than I had been doing but that obviously didn't work out.

I have been crafting and building up quite a collection of cards. I was lucky enough to receive some new stamps and dies for Christmas which means I spent lots of time playing but not a lot photographing and blogging.

I will try harder!

So my first show is a stamp I had before Christmas but didn't use much,

I've used the 'Chrisanthemum slimline stamp' from Pinkfresh Studio coloured with various marker pens.

I reduced the size of the stamped image by using the Ornate Banner die, also by pinkfresh studio.

The sentiment is from Pinkfresh Studio Artistic Dahlia stamp set.

I've finished it off with a smattering of lilac gems.

Just a word quick about alcohol marker pens.

I have always used either Promarker pens or Spectrum Noir and, apart from the odd early drier, have always been happy with them. I do wish Promarkers had a wider range of shades but thats not a fault. However they can be quite expensive when you have to keep renewing the pens you use regularly. Just before Christmas I bought myself some new pens from Amazon just to try them out really, thinking that if they weren't that good I hadn't wasted a fortune. They are wonderful. A huge choice of shades, double sided and lovely and juicy. I'm not giving up on my Promarkers or Spectrum Noir but these are a lovely addition. Apparently they sell them in B&M too (UK)

Have a lovely day x
