Less is More # 416

Hi there

I hope you're all managing to keep safe and sane in this strange situation we're going through right now.

It's time for a new challenge at Less is More and, although it's one layer week, it's a nice easy one

It's also the second challenge for the DT post so I'll have to remember that when I link it up. Sometimes my fingers work quicker than my brain.

I think this image tells it's own story

The stamp is from Lilly of the Valley and I've had a field day colouring it.

The basket, teddies and baby's face are coloured with Promarkers.
The pram frame and wheels I've used a coloured pencil (because I'm not very good with tiny bits and markers)
The pram cover and hood are coloured with Cosmic Shimmer watercolour paints.
I'm not the best at painting but thought I'd give it a go as I wanted a bit of sparkle and I'm rather pleased with the result.

The way my family is multiplying at the moment I'm going to need a few baby cards

Less is More 2nd entry

Hi there,
Hoping you're all feeling well and coping with this madness we're living through at the moment. At least if we are confined to barracks we have our crafting to fall back on.

I'm popping in today with a second go at the Less is More challenge which is,

There is a DT vacancy at Less is More that, after much thought and encouragement from hubby I decided I would try for. Unfortunately, when I entered my first card I forgot to add DT after my name DOH!
So I've taken the opportunity to make another card and I'll try not to forget the important bit.

I'm also entering this card into the latest challenge at Time out who are having a birthday celebration

I started off by smooshing some card off cuts with Cosmic Shimmer paints in Ruby and Raspberry
Once dry I cut out the leaf making sure I had enough of both the main colours showing.
I then made a mask by cutting a circle from a scrap of paper and centralising it onto my card front. I then stamped a Script stamp ( Indigo Blu) in Memento London Fog.
I used 2 different dies ( Spellbinders & Die-namics) to make my frame from dark grey card.
The sentiment is by Avery Elle stamped in clear ink and embossed in white EP.

Less is More #415

Hi there

Time for the latest challenge at Simply Less is More and it's my favourite, a colour challenge.

I started by cutting my squares and embossing the grey one with a folder from We are memory keepers.
The flowers are by Simply Graphic and cut from Papermill direct Raspberry card
Sentiment is from Avery Elle stamped onto red card and embossed in white ep

I thought I was being cool & trendy placing the squares a bit wonky but it's messing with my head so in future I think I'll stick to neat & straight lol.

CAS Stencil challenge, March.

Hi there,

Since I'm in a CAS sort of mood lately I thought I'd join in with this months challenge at CAS Stencil

Also my blog friend Viv has joined the design team so it would be rude not too.

I've used texture paste on my card.
I always make my own texture paste. Mainly because it so easy but also because it's quite expensive to buy. As my grandma always used to say " I'm not greedy, I'm just careful" I've obviously inherited her thriftyness.

The stencil is a cheap one from Amazon and I wasn't sure if it would take the paste but it's worked beautifully, I'm really pleased with it.
After applying the paste and removing the stencil I poured silver embossing powder over it making sure I got all angles. Tapped it off and left it to dry.
Once dry I simply heat embossed and Voila!

The sentiment is by Wplus9 stamped in clear EI and embossed with silver EP.

Less is More #414

Hi there,

Time for the latest challenge at Less is More which is a lucky dip.

This my card

Yes I know it's a Christmas card and I know it's only March but I'm determined not to be last minute with my Christmas cards this year.

I started by giving an offcut of card a colourwash using acrylic paints in varying shades of blue with a tiny bit of pink thrown in.
Once dry I cut a panel using a rectangle die.
Next I used a wavy die from Spellbinders using another offcut of white card to make a snowy hill
Then cut that to fit the panel.
I die cut some trees ( Big & Small) and a big daddy deer and a small baby deer from a set by Hunky Dory.
The sentiment is by Winnie & Walter.

CAS Christmas March

Hi there

First I'd like to welcome my new followers. Thank you for choosing me to follow.

I'm still in 'determined not be last minute on the Christmas card front' this year and I'm so pleased I decided to join in with the CAS Christmas card challenge.
This months challenge is,

And this is my card,

And now I'm wondering when CAS becomes fussy. Sometimes when I do CAS cards I think they look naked and then this one looks a bit too much. I'm sure you'll tell me if it's not right.

I made a panel using a rectangle Spellbinders die and built my flower from the right top corner.
Poinsettia die, holly and berry dies are from Amazon.
Fir tree branches are Joanna Sheen
Long berry branch is by Simply Graphic.
Sentiment is Winnie & Walter
