Less is More # 459

 Hello there

I'm back today with our new challenge from Less is More

This can incorporate images, ink etc. but the sentiment or any words must only contain 'Just one Word'

And don't forget this is a one layer card,

A nice easy challenge which I'm sure will give us a wide variety of designs. We can't wait to see what you come up with.

I started by stamping the word then masking it before stamping the flower. There was a slight gap in the flower stems so I joined them using a fine liner pen.

I coloured the flowers with Spectrum Noir pens and that's it, nice and simple.

Flower stamp is Altenew, Pen sketched flowers

Word stamp is by Avery Elle.

Thanks for popping in, please check out the inspiration from the DT on the blog.

Less is More # 458

 Hello there,

We're back!

Welcome to our first challenge of 2022.

While we are sad to see Sharon, Anita and Izzy say goodbye to us, we are so pleased that Kylie has stepped up as our leader to keep Less is More going. Thank you Kylie.

We have a DT call this month too so please check the blog for information.

It's also our 11th birthday month which is why we're asking you to celebrate with us with your birthday designs.

I used some small pieces of card from my snippets box ( I am getting through them, slowly) to make the balloons. All the patterns are The Lovely Studio and I've gone with the brightest colours I could find.

The balloon die is ( I think) from Amazon.

The letter dies are from Yvonnes Crafts

The sentiment stamp is by Flourishes.

I've added some flat back pearls for decoration.

Please check out the challenge blog for more fabulous inspiration and don't forget the DT call.

Thanks for popping in

Another great grandchild

 Hello there,

Our 5th great grandchild, Ivy Rose was born on 1st February weighing in at 4lb 13oz. When did I get old enough for great grandkids?

Naturally I made a card,

I'd been hankering after this coverplate die from Alexandra Renke for ages but they've stopped delivering to the UK. I managed to get my hands on it by having it delivered to a family member in the EU and them bringing it here for me along with a few others ofcourse.

Sadly after all that faffing this is the first time I've used it. Now that I have, I have so many ideas for it. Valentines, weddings, anniversaries, the list is almost endless. Be prepared to get sick to death of seeing it.

I cut the coverplate from linen effect white card. The solid card beneath is baby pink pearlised card.

I cut the tag from an offcut of linen card after printing the sentiment on it, I added one tiny heart cut from the coverplate in baby pink and finished off with a tiny pink gem stone.

Edited...I'm adding this card to the challenges at Addicted to CAS and Inkspirational

Just to show off a little bit I'll leave you with a pic of Ivy Rose.

Thanks for popping in x

CaS Christmas January 2nd card.

 Hello there,

I'm popping in with my second entry for this months challenge at CaS Christmas

The photo is pretty rubbish I know. I tried so many different angles to get it right but it was always either too dark or giving off a glare. The joys of working with Mirror card I suppose.

Any way for this one I used various snowflake dies of differing sizes, the larger in gold mirror card and the smaller ones on top from silver glitter card.

I cut the word die from gold mirror card and added some silver flat back pearls to finish.

Dies...Snow flakes from Crafters Companion and X cut. Word from Amazon

Pearls from Pretty Pink Posh

Cas Christmas January 2022

 Hello there,

A little late I know but a very happy New Year to you all.

I'd like to share a card I made for this months challenge at Cas Christmas

I'm determined to get on top of my Christmas cards this year and this challenge blog gives me some great ideas.

I love using foliage on any cards but particularly Christmas cards so I treat myself to some new dies. They've come in very handy already.

I might just have a second card to submit later in the week :)

Dies...Hero Arts star, Sizzix holly and berry, Simply Graphic long berry, Amazon Christmas word.

Flat back gold pearls, Pretty Pink Posh.

Less is More #457 Photo Inspiration

 Hello there,

Another Saturday has dawned and that means another challenge for you at Less Is More.

This is our last challenge of  2021 and it's a lovely one,

Lots on here to get your creative juices flowing from the Scandi design, the colours and the Christmas sparkle.

Quite a simple design from me for this one.

I used the parcels for my inspiration along with some of the colours.

The Bakers Twine I've had for ages and rarely use it these days.

The Branch die is one of a pair by Joanna Sheen.

The tag die is from a set that I bought online but have no idea who produced it.

The gift tag is the smallest in a set from Memory Box.

Sentiment is by Avery Elle.

We really look forward to seeing you all again next year. Have a very Merry Christmas and a really Happy New Year from all of us here on the DT.

Thank you for popping in..

Less is More # 456 Silhouette

 Hello there,

We have a lovely challenge for you this time at Less is More this time,

My card just came together, more by accident than design if I'm honest. I knew what I wanted to do, I just wasn't sure if it would come off as I'm not an artist by any stretch. However I'm rather pleased with it now.

I started with a scrap piece of card slightly larger than the aperture. I then made a mask with a circle nestie die and a post it note for the moon before I began sponging with Sqeezed Lemon DI then a little Mustard Seed, finishing off along the top edge with Spiced Marmalade. I then used the edge of the sponge to add some 'sun kissed clouds'.

I used stamps ( Branches by Inkadinkado) inked with Black Versa mark.

No sentiment because I think it will make a good male birthday card. I'm just not sure who for yet.

Please pop over to the blog for some fabulous inspiration from the rest of the team.
