Less is More # 463 Off centre

 Hello there,

It's time for a new challenge at Less is More ,

Don't forget this is a one layer card so no additions and plenty of clean space.

Please check out the blog for some fabulous inspiration from the team. We're looking forward to seeing your creations.

I used this gorgeous digi stamp from LOTV and coloured it with various marker pens.

The sentiment is computer generated

I like to have cards available for the not so regular occurances, sometimes I get caught out when I have little time to rustle something up. This will go into the ' just in case' box.

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Less is More # 462 Occcupations

 Hello there,

I'm here to share my DT card for the latest Less is More challenge.

I've gone with this lovely digi stamp from Lily of the Valley for my card.

An interesting subject so there's plenty of scope, I'm looking forward to seeing what you all come up with.

I used various marker pens to colour the image except the spoon which I coloured with gel pens.

The sentiment is a really old Papertrey set called Autumn Abundance.

We're looking forward to seeing your creations for this challenge. Please check out the LIM blog for more inspiration.

Thanks for popping in

Birthday card

 Hello there,

I'm popping in quickly with a birthday card I made for my eldest grand daughter.

I used the die set from Alexandra Renke Glory flower set and cut the main flower, stem and leaves in thick white card.

I read on someone's blog post that good thick card is alright for watercolouring onto so I gave it a go. Now I'm not trying to convince anyone that using thicker card has turned me into an artist ha ha but it turned out quite good for me. I gave the flower head a slight colour wash in purple. The stem and leaves had a slightly deeper colour wash in greens.

The second part of the flower was cut from deep purple pearl card and the stamen from some rose gold pearl card.

While I had the paints out I gave the panel a few splatters in purple.

The flower is quite large so fit nicely onto a slimline card

The sentiment is Avery Elle cut with a Cathrine Pooler banner die
