Less is More # 437

 Hello there,

We're still celebrating our 10th birthday over at Less is More.

We've had enough chocolate to warrant slackening our waistbands so now we need FLOWERS. Who doesn't love a beautiful floral bouquet or a pretty pot plant for a birthday?

It is a one layer challenge this time though so remember, lots of white space and no embellishments

I've used a stamp from Flourishes (now retired) called Spring Bouquet. In these these dull, grey, cold and rainy days I need reminding that spring is just around the corner.

I coloured the image with a mix of Promarkers and Spectrum Noir pens.

The sentiment is a stamp from Papertrey.

We have lots of lovely sponsors with fabulous prizes  to help us celebrate our birthday. Please pop along and join in, check out the DT for some gorgeous inspiration.

Thanks for popping in x

Inkspirational Challenge, Hearts.

 Hello there,

It's ages since I joined in at Inkspirational Challenge

but as soon as I saw the prompt I knew I had to have a go.

Me and hubby will have been married for 45 years this April and the days of Valentine cards to each other disappeared decades ago but that doesn't stop me from making them. Maybe one of the kids can make use of it.

I started with a small, scrap piece of card I'd smooshed with Twinkling H2O's in different shades of pink, ages ago ( I never throw even the smallest pieces away, you never know what they'll come in handy for).

I cut that out with a Sissix heart die.

The alphabet and ampersand were cut out of hot pink card with dies from Yvonne Creations and Memory Box.

The tiny hears are cut using a small punch out of the same scrap card as the larger heart.

Sentiment is computer generated.

You never know, I might just shock OH with a card this year afterall.

Thanks for popping in x

Less is More # 436

 Hello there,

It's our 10th birthday month at Less is More

so we're celebrating with some fabulous challenges and a host of prizes to win.

I can't believe it's 10 years since Chrissie and Mandy brought us the first challenge and gave me an insight into what has become my favourite style of card making, clean and simple. I've learned so much since then and hopefully improved an awful lot.

So, this is our colour challenge,

Mmm Chocolate...

You could have plain chocolate, white chocolate, dark chocolate, or add a colour for mint chocolate or strawberry cream. A bar of chocolate or even a whole box of chocolates.

What better way of celebrating a birthday than with a mint choccy cupcake ( maybe two or three)

Yummy chocolate sponge with a buttercream topping, a sprinkling of chocolate and minty chips and a chocolate heart.

I think I can feel a baking day coming on.

I used a stamp from Docrafts coloured with Promarkers and cut out with a stitched circle die.

The word die is from Britannia dies, cut and layered in chocolate and mint green card.

I've added a few tiny green gems for the mint chips.

We have some amazing sponsors for our birthday challenges, pop along to the challenge blog for some superb inspiration from the other DT and get creative. We can't wait to see what you come up with.
