Mothers Day card

 Hi There,

I'm Popping in to share the card I made for my mum in law for Mothers day this Sunday. She'll be 99 years old in July and, although she now in a care home, she's both physically and mentally very well.

I used a stencil from Honey Bee Stamps with Nuvo embellishment mouse on the card base.

The stamp is Lush Peonies from Pinkfresh Studio coloured with various marker pens

The sentiment is from an old Flourishes stamp set now retired cut out with a banner from Catherine Pooler

Thanks for popping in

Chrysanthemum

 Hi there,

It's been a while.

I know I said I intended to blog a lot more than I had been doing but that obviously didn't work out.

I have been crafting and building up quite a collection of cards. I was lucky enough to receive some new stamps and dies for Christmas which means I spent lots of time playing but not a lot photographing and blogging.

I will try harder!

So my first show is a stamp I had before Christmas but didn't use much,

I've used the 'Chrisanthemum slimline stamp' from Pinkfresh Studio coloured with various marker pens.

I reduced the size of the stamped image by using the Ornate Banner die, also by pinkfresh studio.

The sentiment is from Pinkfresh Studio Artistic Dahlia stamp set.

I've finished it off with a smattering of lilac gems.

Just a word quick about alcohol marker pens.

I have always used either Promarker pens or Spectrum Noir and, apart from the odd early drier, have always been happy with them. I do wish Promarkers had a wider range of shades but thats not a fault. However they can be quite expensive when you have to keep renewing the pens you use regularly. Just before Christmas I bought myself some new pens from Amazon just to try them out really, thinking that if they weren't that good I hadn't wasted a fortune. They are wonderful. A huge choice of shades, double sided and lovely and juicy. I'm not giving up on my Promarkers or Spectrum Noir but these are a lovely addition. Apparently they sell them in B&M too (UK)

Have a lovely day x

Flower letter frame

 Hi there,

Wow! Two posts in two days, get me.

My sister in law became a Nanna to a gorgeous baby girl a few weeks ago. Baby was a bit early but is doing very well now.

I thought a pretty box frame was much nicer than just a card.

I've made a couple of these before but not quite as good as this one. I'm quite pleased with it.

Flowers from Sweet Lilac.

Letter L from Amazon

I used an emulsion paint sample pot to paint the letter

Thanks for popping in

Man card

 Hi there!

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year. It's nice to get back to some sort of normality though isn't it.

I have a card to share today that I made before Christmas for my brother in law. I don't make many man cards, I find them quite difficult but this one was easy to make if not very exciting to look at.

I used some backing paper from Pink Petticoat now retired.

Balloons cut from various snippets of card

The balloon dies are from Concord & 9th

The sentiment stamp is from Trinity stamps.

Years ago I made my New Years resolution to NOT make New Years resolutions because I either fail or forget. However, I am determined to blog a lot more than I have been in the past. I will try not to forget this one but don't hold your breath.

Thanks for popping in
